We are Kata Font and Péter Molnár, owners of STUDIO FONT. Our husband and wife designer duo works on the principles of marrying function with looks, resembling abstract art. We create home accessories and furniture to stun and inspire, objects that speak the language of an abstract artwork and open the door for a contemporary artistic atmosphere in the space. We have an unrelenting passion to find poetry in mundane, everyday objects that inspire our unique design language. The geometric shapes and choice of genuine materials draw inspiration from constructivist artists and modern architecture. We love playing with basic geometric forms to bring an artistic impact for everyday homes too.
About the objects
The designers’ passion lies in revealing the artistic potential of everyday objects. Their aim is to transform ordinary items such as coat hooks and hangers into inspiring, distinctive pieces that create a contemporary and personal atmosphere in the home.
The collection is inspired by Constructivist art and the curved forms found in architecture, allowing the pieces to form a versatile system that can be combined in many ways. Studio Font products are made in Budapest, making it easy to create tailored solutions for individual interior design needs.
The thoughtful selection and coordination of forms and materials express the brand’s distinctive, contemporary, and timeless character. Studio Font’s aim is not merely to create objects, but to shape an atmosphere and invite people to reinterpret the spaces they call home.
Sustainability
Studio Font product components are made in small batches in Budapest, with the help of local specialists in metalworking, woodworking, and stoneworking. The assembly, finishing, and packaging of each piece take place in the Studio Font workshop, with careful attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
When selecting materials, the designers prioritize natural, recyclable, and recycled resources. Only water-based finishes are used to treat the surfaces of wooden products, helping to reduce the impact on both the environment and human health.
For packaging, recycled paper and paper-based protective materials are used. In both production and packaging, Studio Font strives to choose conscious and environmentally responsible solutions.
